Boys and Girls Basketball
City League Basketball delivers high-level coaching and competitive play—without the weekend tournaments, endless driving, or late-night practices. Built on the same philosophy that made City League Soccer thrive, our basketball league keeps the joy in the game while sharpening skills, confidence, and teamwork.
We believe kids can grow as athletes without giving up their family balance. That’s why City League Basketball runs Monday through Thursday after school, leaving your weekends free for skiing, family trips, or just a little downtime.
Forget the grind and pressure to go “all-in” too soon. Research shows that kids thrive when they play multiple sports and have fun doing it. City League Basketball helps players fall in love with the game while building the foundation to compete at a high level - if they choose - later on.
We’re thrilled to launch basketball at the Basin Rec Fieldhouse Courts, bringing City League to Park City’s best facilities. This collaboration ensures our players and families benefit from top-notch gyms and a program designed around the same values that made City League Soccer a success: competitive play, local community, and family balance.
League Details
1st–2nd Grade
Boys and Girls programs run separately if numbers allow (otherwise combined coed league).
When: Tuesdays - 3:45–5:15pm
Season: January 6 – March 17
Location: Basin Recreation Fieldhouse Courts
3rd–5th Grade
Separate Boys and Girls leagues run at the same time.
Practices split by choice at registration:
Option A: Mondays 3:45–5:15 (+ Thursday game day)
Option B: Wednesdays 3:45–5:15 (+ Thursday game day)
Games: Thursdays, 3:45–6:00pm (45-minute games within this window. Game schedule for the entire season will be published once teams are set. Every team will have a game on Thursday at either 3:45pm, 4:30pm, or 5:15pm)
Season: January 5 – March 19
Note: 3rd, 4th, and 5th Grade Boys and Girls programs will run at the same times but remain separate leagues. If 1st and 2nd grade numbers are lower, that league will be coed.
Registration
Registration for City League Basketball opens Friday, November 14th at 7:00 AM. You can register via the links below — they will go live right at 7 AM. We expect some divisions to fill quickly, so please mark your calendar and don’t miss your chance to secure a spot for your athlete at 7 AM.
This season, City League Basketball is partnering with Basin Recreation - bringing you the same great City League experience (trained coaches, development stations, scorekeeping, playoffs, and tournaments) while utilizing Basin Rec’s world-class facilities, staff support, and registration system.
